No, not really. He may well have been unjustly accused/arrested - I don't know. It may also have been an honest mistake on the part of the police that spiraled out of control due to Gates's reaction to being unjustly accused, who knows? Al Sharpton's involvement certainly does not help his case though.

I enjoy watching his appearances on The History Detectives and other PBS shows and he did a fair piece on the SCV a while back in a special about Lincoln on PBS.

I really don't know enough about the arrest incident to comment. And, frankly, I don't really care.
