Do Elites Count More?

"This is a herald of victory in the class war: The elites speak, the masses laugh. Social class in the US today is, at its heart, a modern version of the Three-Fifths Compromise of 1787 when the states agreed that, for purposes of representation in the new republic, slaves were not worth as much as others. Our media, political, academic and entertainment elites are defined by a basic arrogance: They count more than us."

Elites count more only because so many of the rest of us listen to them. Personally, I ignore them.

Hello Michael. Good idea. I like to make fun of them. They don't know how to handle ridicule - they assume their asinine ideas are unassailable.

Perhaps some in the crowd were waving swastikas. I tend to agree RW...perhaps there is something to be said for taking the high road of simply pretending they are not there; perhaps. On the other hand, most are so infantile and plagued by such massive egos, that any "inattentiveness" they feel they are receiving only causes them to shout louder and with greater frequency. To be frank, it is so much more pleasurable to filet their absurd notions and demonstrate just how ridiculous they truly are.
