Interview With Civil War Sculptor Gary Casteel

Is this the guy who created the Jeff. Davis, Jim Limber Statue that was accepted by the Civil War Center at Tredegar in Richmond?

If it is...I am sure he wants an National Monument...or at least a place for the SCV to put the statue.

No, not an admirer...He is good, but I think his subject matter in the Davis statue and this brother one has an agenda...one that is trying to re-write history.

Artists like Mr. Casteel interpret history - just as you do. Folks see things from different perspectives - some of those perspectives, though differing, are nonetheless legitimate.

If you want to see historians with an agenda, go to HNN and read the letter to the President asking him not to honor the Confederate dead.

BTW, both subject matters in these statues are accurate depictions. The Jim Limber story is a historical fact, though it doesn't quite fit the PC template. And the Brothers statue, what in the world could be the "agenda" there?
