What Do You Pledge?

The above video was recently shown to students at an elementary school in Farmington, Utah. After watching this video, one can clearly understand why many parents are apprehensive about President Obama giving a speech to their children. For example . . .

Gayle Ruzicka, president of conservative Utah Eagle Forum, said the video was blatantly political. She said other offensive pledges included, "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama," "I pledge allegiance to the funk, to the united funk of funkadelica," and pledges to not use plastic grocery bags and not flush the toilet after urinating.

Good Lord.

What a combination of naivete and totalitarianism. I can't decided if the background music should be Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood or Die Faehne Hoch.

Good lord. If Jesus the Christ showed up in America these days, he'd be re-crucified.

Great minds RW; I just posted this on my blog a few moments ago. It is shocking to hear "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama," with the video ending with the words "I pledge to be a servant to our president" and the rest of the elitist leftist celebrities chanting en masse...

Unreal. Particularly with The One just having scrapped his plans to have schoolchildren write letters as to how they can help/serve, not our country, but Barack.

Yet, the administration still declares concerned parents as being "silly."

If folks still do not realize the attacks from within our nation is facing on a daily basis, they truly are not paying attention, are willfully ignorant of same, and/or simply in bed with the marxists.

I wonder how many of these hypocrites stroked a check to help any of the causes they claim to stand for? Oh, and Hollywood, here is a hint. You think just because we watch your movies and tv shows that we want to hear your opinion? We do NOT!

I pledge to ignore videos like this from here on!

To add to the list of "pledges" you quoted above...note the pledge to "sell my obnoxious car" and buy a "hybrid," as well as the pledge to "support stem cell research."

And more scary.

I think "Dear Leader" in North Korea would love this technique. The use of movie stars to send this message is particularly disturbing, given the gullible nature of young people and their unquestioning adoration of everything Hollywood. www.satisfiedsole.com

Pam;

Most of the Hollywood types are airheads. Their desire for eternal youth and "cool" dominates all. Demi Moore has had enough plastic surgery to recycle a truckload of used water bottles.
