Poetic Justice

A while back, I posted some comments regarding one academic's Orwellian suggestion of criminalizing certain aspects of historical interpretation and speech. Now, in an odd turn of events, comes the news that academics in Britain may face criminal charges for withholding information about the theory of man-made global warming.
David Holland is seeking prosecutions against some of Britain's most eminent academics for allegedly holding back information in breach of disclosure laws.
As I noted in that original post, the free flow of information (whether right or wrong--and the right to challenge that information), promotes the discovery of truth and freedom and the free exchange of ideas. Suppressing information does the opposite. It's a lesson some still need to learn. As groups like FIRE expose more and more of academia's suppression of free speech and thought and as this "global-warming" scam story has now gone viral, perhaps we're reaching a tipping point regarding those in academia who think their ideas are the only ones the public should know about.

**Some afterthoughts . . . Who designed -"invented"- the internet? No, it wasn't Al Gore. The government came up with the technology primarily for the purpose of communication in the event of a nuclear attack, right? It was also first widely used by scientific researchers. Who has been pushing this theory of man-made global warming? The government and scientists. What technology allowed someone to expose the global-warming scam? The internet. More poetic justice. God does have a sense of humor, doesn't He? God bless the hacker who exposed these frauds. He is a hero.

The market will punish these frauds. They're totally discredited - maybe Al Gore can hire them.
