Reagan On The Intellectual Elite

Anyone who reads this blog with any regularity knows that elites in academia and government are my favorite targets for hurling barbs and criticisms and exposing their intellectually bankrupt philosophies and ideas. I am still working on a post that will illustrate, very plainly, that the "intellectual elite" aren't quite as wise as they would have everyone else believe. Knowledge, training, and being "credentialed" does not necessarily produce wisdom. The video below is a nice prelude to that upcoming post.

I sometimes despair for the future of our country. That is a very difficult statement for a man who served 31 years in the Navy. This video almost deepens that despair because there is no one, no political leader, in any party, with the convictions of Reagan. Hearing these words and remembering the mealy-mouthed platitudes of Republican Congressional leaders and those jockeying for position for 2012 is greatly unsettling. Is there no one besides Sarah Palin with any backbone?

Sister Sarah seems to be the only man in the bunch. Haley Barbour maybe? I don't know. I REALLY like Colonel Allen West who is running for Congress in Florida. Probably too soon for top of the ticket in 2012, but would be a good VP pick in my opinion.

I am with you Chaps. I did'nt face down soviets on the high seas to come home and find them in the White House. Sad, sad days!

Ronald Reagan relavent 46 years ago, still relavent today.

Also I agree with 13thBama,this would make a great ad to define the diffrences between commonsense conservatism and elitest liberalism.
