Recommended Founders Blog

I would encourage my readers to visit What Would The Founders Think?

As the hosts so wisely point out . . .

We humbly submit that the founders possessed far greater integrity, far greater intellect, and understood the world more than anybody we can think of in politics today.  They had phenomenal foresight in constructing a system which has stood the test of time.  Its ideas are, if possible, more relevant today than when they were first penned.

Looks intersting but do you agree with their statement that "...the United States is “the last best hope of mankind”.

Really? If so we're screwed.

Actually, I believe Christ is the ONLY hope for mankind. But in the historical context of liberty and freedom (in which I believe the statement was intended), yes I would agree with the intent of their statement. But I would also agree with you that things do look quite bleak, thanks primarily to the left and statist ideology.

I am following this blog now, thanks for the suggestion.

In response to the previous post, I once said to a friend before I had kids, "I don't want children - to subject them to this world, and the direction that our country is headed." Her response has stuck with me to this day - "If good people with good moral values, faith, and a belief that this country is worth fighting for stop having children, only those who are interested in the opposite will be procreating."

Needless to say, I now have two sons! So here's to hoping we can turn it around!

Lindsay - having 2 sons is a great blessing.

Indeed...I am so blessed, in many ways.
