Backward

The best summation of the election results I've read thus far:

At the end of the day, we’ve had a half-century of cultural decline in this country since the early 1960′s. You cannot endure a half-century of cultural decline without paying the price in leadership . . .This country needs to take a hard look in the mirror. We’re teaching our children values our grandparents can’t even fathom, we’re abandoning what made us great and we are knowingly watching our country decline.

More here. Hat tip to reader Doug Hill.

Takers outnumber the producers.

BR - that's part of it, but it's much deeper than that. The left has captured much of the media (though that's changing), and also control our educational system. We are reaping what has been sown over the last 50 years. IF we ever recover, and that's doubtful, it will be a very long road with lots of setbacks. My main concern is for my children and grandchildren.

One thing for sure going "forward" - they own it. They can demagogue history, capitalism, politics, but they can't demagogue math. Stats tell the story and the simple mathematics of our debt and supporting the welfare state will necessitate a collapse. That can't be spun. As the saying goes, numbers don't lie.

Socialism has never worked and our effort won't be any different.

It is sad, but true. My hope continues to fade. It's still there, but just barely. I read yesterday's post; looks like more suffering is in store for us then. Fortunately, the Bible does say something about those who suffer too.

Yes, it does. Refocus. We're not alone.

I said several months ago that when Obama won a second term and Virginia was blue I would come back and say I told you so Well... I think we can both agree who is in the minority. Now it's time to REALLY change things. America is evolving and moving forward! Go Bama Go!

Anon - you really have no honor, do you? You've been banned from this blog, yet you lie and pretend to be someone else so you can get your comment in. Typical of the Bama crowd - only getting what you want by lying. Perfect. However, I allowed your comment to come through as you serve as a great poster child for so many of the brainless ideologues who support Obama and the uber-left's policies.

Only a person utterly clueless or living detached from reality could call the following "moving forward":

8% + unemployment.

4 years of debt exceeding all previous debt in our nation's history with no end in sight.

Expanded welfare roles

Expanded food stamp roles

A shrinking economy

Divisiveness

Class warfare, etc, etc, etc.

Lying to get your way and denying reality - yes, your side won. Congratulations, I'm sure you're quite proud.

Sir-

I am not so sure that the Dems "own it" going "Forward." They owned the state we're in now but the totally corrupt news media convinced people it was still Bush's fault. When the coming recession hits and the coming attacks on us overseas and here at home, the non-Fox media will find a way to shield Obama from blame. I have, this morning, been contemplating those times in Scripture when God has "given over" a nation to evil because of sinful disobedience to God. I wonder if God may have lost patience with us.

The laws of nature and nature's God enforce themselves. We are (and will even more so in the future) see that manifested in our economy and culture. It's stunning that a political party that embraces infanticide can get away with calling ANYONE extreme. Historians will one day look back on our times as quite barbaric and insane.
