Community Organizing For First-Graders

Here's the latest installment of how our schools are pushing "social justice" and "community organizing" toward a particular political slant using "Common Core."

*As always,I realize there are good teachers in public education who oppose this kind of social engineering and object to it as much as I do.

It was very effective in Nazi Germany but of course got a lot of brain washed people killed eventually.

This really hits home for me. My wife is a teacher and tells me about the new programs they burden teachers with each year. I didn't think too much about this Common Core curriculum when she mentioned it to me last week. Then the day after she told me about it I ran across a video about the Muslim indoctrination of students that was related to this new agenda.

I became a bit curious and suspicious and started doing some research. I was not surprised, but I was disgusted about what I started finding. This excellent video that you've included adds to my disgust.

These programs are a real hassle for teachers and most of them are not for it. However, the folks in government who are creating the school programs are to blame. This is social engineering at its scariest and I'm waiting to see what comes next.

School was never like this when I was a kid.

Educators from the elementary level to the university level (many of them bloggers) used to come here and say that none of this stuff is taking place - it was all just a myth of the right. Of course, many of them are too busy chasing neo-Confederate boogie men all over the internet and posting screenshots from their Facebook pages to really be involved in anything substantive. They're either clueless or complicit.

Common Core is the best argument for home schooling yet. Parents who allow their children to be subjected to this blatant propaganda training ignore a fundamental responsibility: to protect developing minds from the corrupting influence of government sponsored demagoguery delivered under the perverse guise of public education.

Common Core is nothing less than an institutionalized thought crime perpetrated by Obama's collectivist scoundrels and inflicted en mass on the innocent minds of America's children by self-serving unionized apparatchiks who have the effrontery to call themselves teachers and educators.

Let's see, I recall my first, second grade morning routine - prayer, recite the ABC's, Pledge of Allegiance, and conclude with singing "My Country 'Tis of Thee."

We've come a long way, haven't we?
