Died On The Field Of Honor Sir - 150th

Colonel Keith Gibson holds forth on the VMI cadets' bravery and sacrifice at the Battle of New Market. Worth watching. Hat tip to David Corbett.

It seemed like half the officers I knew in the Marine Corps were from VMI.

Does anyone know if the cadets kept the cannon they captured at New Market, and if it's on display?

I'm not sure RL. If you'll go to VMI's site, you can find Colonel Gibson's email address and he's always more than happy to answer questions about the Institute. He's an excellent source for all history related to VMI.
