I've visited Arlington House twice in my lifetime. Once as a child and again a few years ago with my wife. It is well worth your time in case you ever get the opportunity. Truly hallowed ground in so many ways.

I went once as a little kid (it was so long ago I barely remember anything, and I wasn't interested in the Civil War at the time) and once a couple of years ago. The 2nd floor was closed the 2nd time, but even walking trough the 1st floor was amazing. I'll have to plan another trip.

As much as I hate getting anywhere close to DC, it was worth the aggravation.
