I'm working on a rather lengthy post that will counter some of the nonsense I recently read by an academic historian (of course) suggesting that "professional" historians were on the same plane as lawyers, doctors and engineers. (Eye roll). Some of my contrarian thought will be supported by the works and writings of historian Joseph A. Amato.
